In aid of World Mental Health day, we wanted to share some tips on getting a good nights sleep as there is a close relationship between sleep and mental health.

‘Living with a mental health problem can affect how well you sleep, and poor sleep can have a negative impact on your mental health.’
Here are some top tips on getting a good nights rest:
Try to establish a sleep routine
Avoid screens an hour or two before you plan to go to sleep. Reducing the brightness on your screen
Avoid stimulating activities such as playing games before sleep.
Look after yourself – think about your diet, do some physical activity and spend time in nature.
Relax before going to sleep by having a bath or listening to calming music.
Keep a sleep diary.
Make your sleeping area more inviting and comfortable.
